Day 17

Gift #17 - Coffee

I found a coupon for a free cup of Starbucks coffee that I forgot I had. I gave it to my husband who was very excited.

Day 12 - Day 16

Posted on December 13, 2008 at 5:55pm 2 Comments

I have gotten a bit behind at posting here, so I'm going to try and remember what I gave each day this week.

Day 12 - Time

My dog hurt herself and I took her to the vet. She has a herniated disk in her back and I spent the entire day with her driving back and forth twice from the vet which is an hour away from where I live now. So while I didn't technically "give" anything today I did end up giving my whole day to the poor pooch.

Gift #11 - Donation

I changed my diet starting in August and I have lost over 20 pounds. So I took all my pants that no longer fit and gave them to a local Good Will.

Day 10

Gift #10 - Money

I was very busy on this day, so while I was at the gym I found a dollar in my gym bag and left that in the bathroom. I'm not sure if this was a good idea, but I know that it can be fun to find money--even if it's only a dollar. I hope it brightened someone's day.

Day Nine

Gift #9 - Donation

I listen to This American Life a lot. It's my favorite program on NPR. I put it on my iShuffle and listen to it at the gym every time there is a new episode. So, I decided to make a donation on the website for today's gift.

Day Eight

Day Seven

Gift #7 - Care Package

When I was in college I loved getting care packages. So I sent a care package to my old suites with some things that I thought they would find entertaining, useful, or tasty. It was a lot of fun putting together, and I hope they will enjoy it.

Day Six

Gift #6 - Comments

As I wasn't feeling well today, I decided to stay home and give the gift of comments. I love getting comments on my blog. But it doesn't happen that often, so I wanted to find 10 blogs on blogger that were creative but comment-less and then give them responses.

Wow, that turned out to be harder than I thought. It took all day. Apparently, there are a lot of blogs out there that are written by families (which I just felt would have been creepy to look… Continue

Day Five

Gift #5 - Money

I bought a book at the local library sale and tipped 200 percent. It was only a few dollars, but for a good cause.

I have been trying to avoid giving money as I think it is the easiest, and least creative, route. But that was the best I could come up with today.

Day Four

Gift #4 - A letter

I wrote a letter to a friend that I have lost touch with.
