Why I'm choosing to give:
With the economy the way it is, it's easy to get stuck thinking, "poor little me..." Giving at a time when you don't think you have anything to spare is a powerful reminder of how abundant and rich the universe is. There is always enough if we choose to see it that way. I think a 29 day reminder of that would do me a world of good right now.
What I'd most like to receive:
Prosperity! We are scraping the bottom of our bank account and would love to get to a much better place financially. Ideally, this would be easy and in balance with what I am passionate about (writing). I want a truly prosperous life that is abundant in ALL areas. I want quality time with my family, balance, happiness, love, laughter, money, professional accomplishments...I want it all!
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
My friend Courtney posted it on her blog: http://digging-to-china.blogspot.com/
About me:
I am a stay-at-home-mom in Nashville, Tennessee who blogs to keep my wits about me. I love being a mom but will do everything I can to maintain my own identity (not to mention my sanity!). I love writing and hope to make a career of it someday soon. Life is pretty darn good.

Day 21 of giving.

I called and called until I was finally able to connect with two friends who are going through rough times (one just had a miscarriage, the other one's father just had a heart attack). I almost gave up trying to get a hold of them but am glad I persevered and found the time. It is not always easy to make room for people you don't see every day - it seems there is always something more immediate that needs attention - but I know my life is richer for ALL the people I love, not just the ones I see… Continue

Day 20 of giving.

I found the perfect Spiderman pajamas to give an awesome three year old for his birthday. He was pretty stoked.

My whole family went out to support a couple bellydancing friends of ours. They were great and I think they were happy to have us there cheering them on.

Day 19 of giving.

Day 19 was my birthday! I made brownies and a killer dance mix for my birthday party and gave everyone who came a night to remember. ; )

Day 18 of giving.

I'm still taking care of a sick child and husband but managed to find a little bit of spare time today. I sent my cousin's high school aged son Marcus a check for his basketball team's fundraiser (just $10), along with a note and a picture of my son with "Marcus the Wolf" - a stuffed animal that Marcus gave him that he adores. I just wanted him to know that we think of him fondly every time we hear his name - which is a lot these days! I also over-tipped my stylist. I considered breaking my bill… Continue

Day 17 of giving.

Both my boys are sick so I've been giving them lots of care and attention: juice, back rubs, heating pads, lots of holding, meals in bed...whatever they need.
