Today I was at the grocery store doing the self checkout and it was packed. I was talking to a friend in the next aisle and I decided to bag her groceries while she checked out to help her and the dozens of other people in line.

I didn't watch the lastest video. I would also imagine that they would want the avalanche of mail to stop. Isn't it amazing what a group of kind caring people can do to boost a kid when he is so sick.

Very negligent in posting

It has been a very busy week with my son not feeling great so I am going to just update my giving days in one blog post.

Day 21- Today my husband forgot his phone and I lovingly drove it 20 miles to his office without a complaint.

Day 22 My husband took my two sons to the Dallas Redskins game in Dallas for the weekend. I knew that everyone would be stressed coming from work and school just before the flight so I packed everyone's suitcases for them. They were so happy to just be able to leave… Continue

Another letter for Day 20

A friends mother just had knee replacement surgery and she is a widow so I am going to sit down and write her a note now to let her know I am thinking about her.

Day 19

I sent a letter to someone who could use their spirits lifted. Her daughter asked that if we had time to send a letter.

Hi Marcie, Happy Birthday to your son. I hope he had a fabulous day. Having endured such a challenge makes us stronger, better people. We realize and understand the true value of life and just how fragile it really is. Our children are precious, Life is precious. I will never take another day for granted. Everyday is a gift and I tell my children everyday that I love them. Have a Happy Halloween:)

Your story is very touching. I have learned to cherish every moment we can and be grateful for what we have. Take time to smell the roses. I'm so happy your son is doing well. Take care and be happy. Many smiles your way:)

Hi Marcie, I was touched by your story and so glad to hear that your son is doing well. As I was reading your story it touched home. 4 years ago when my youngest daughter was only 12 she was involved in a near fatal car accident and my life as I knew it came crashing down. With the Grace of God and prayers from my community she survived. Her life is a gift, she is the light of my life. But, as you mentioned, my life and the life of my children will never be the same. Everyday is a gift and we find pleasure and happiness in simple things. To be in a position to be able to give is also a gift. My family and I are very blessed.
