When I ran across this, I almost cried! My Granny sent this valentine to me-but back then it was a birthday card...when I was in Elementary school I still have it! Now I am sharing it with all my friends here!

Thank you. Some days it drives me crazy that he steals the forms but when I think about it, that may be the only fun he has all day. Thanks for the comment! Have a great weekend!

I came across these words of wisdom and you came to mind so I am posting it on to you.
When we honestly ask ourselves which person in our lives means the most to us, we often find that it is those who, instead of giving much advice,
solutions, or cures, have chosen rather to share our pain and touch our
wounds with a gentle and tender hand. The friend who can be silent with us
in a moment of despair or confusion, who can stay with us in an hour of
grief and bereavement, who can tolerate not knowing, not curing, not healing
and face with us the reality of our powerlessness, that is a friend who
cares. -- Henri Nouwen

Day 2 thru 7 of 2, 1-31-09 thru 2-5-09

Wow what a crazy week!! I found out my son will be back on American soil in a few weeks (USMC will not let us post a date online) and I have been trying to get reservations for a room so I can welcome him home! Unfortunely, Donnie had to cancel his retirement dinner since that is when my son comes in and I had to make the choice of my son over the dinner. My husband had them to put the dinner on hold! I really feel bad that this has happened! So....

On Saturday, 1-31-09, my couisin and I visite… Continue

Day 1 of 2, 1-30-09

My gift for today is taking care of my husband. He has a cold and isn't feeling his best. He is such a wonderful soul always giving to everyone else. I went to Blockbuster and rented a movie I thought he might enjoy and made sure he was comfy in his recliner. I also rented a movie for my cousin and myself! Life is good!

Day #26, #27 & #28, 1-27-09 thru 1-29-09

My gives involved all three days!
One of my friends needed a ride to the store to oick up some things she needed for a trip to Mexico. She is leaving on Friday, 1-30. While walking around the store with her, she told me of the really poor people she was visiting. They have so little but share mwhat they have. She advised there were several families living on there little plot of land. This got me to thinking of the clothes I have been hanging onto that I want to lose weight to wear but the weigh… Continue

Day #25, 1-26-09

Today i copied alot of pics that I picked up from a friend to put in an online album to be shared by his sisters. We live in Georgia ansthey live in Alabama and Missouri. This was the best way to share photos between all of us!
Other than being at the computer for hours, I rested my swollen feet, apologized to my granddaughter for yelling at her for breaking one of Donnie's limited edition Red Badge of Courage statues! I should have left the room and calmed down and quietly talked to her about i… Continue

Day #22, #23 & #25, 1-23-09 thru 1-25-09

Day #22, 1-23-09, Friday evening was a day to share coffee and friendship. I visited Mom and came back by and picked up my friend Lynne for our coffee night. Several of our girls didn't make coffe night but another joined us which was a treat. I told them about Gail and mom. We hung out for about 3 hours. I took Lynne home and went back to Ken's Corner to meet back up with the rest of the group.
