Why I'm choosing to give:
Hi
I happened along this website and although this is a really busy transitional time for me I do believe that things come into your life for a reason and this must be my time to give. I am eager to give and receive.
What I'd most like to receive:
I am looking for calmness in my life and I would like to get rid of all negative thinking. That might be impossible but i would like to try. I also want to attract good, happy and positive friends.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
i saw a link in Jay Mertano's website...I think he is a great artist
About me:
I am a native San Franciscan and love to do art and travel.

Day 10 Thank Yous

It is day ten of giving and I had an interesting day.
Yesterday my computer had problems at work and the nice guy in IT spent alot of time at my desk fixing it. I bought him a special iced coffee drink to thank him...it was a crazy hot day in San Francisco. HE was happy and so was I...MY computer got fixed.

His department is so busy right now...school is starting and new computers are going in and systems are going haywire...yikes...he said his days were out of control. I was glad I could give… Continue

A Week Has Flown By

Wow a full week of giving. I have enjoyed my week and have also struggled to complete the gives. The truth is I can count many gives each day but often felt like they were not so special. I am generally friendly and try to be kind so shouldn't these 29 gifts be different? Crazy to make this something hard.

Reading other's blogs I realise the simple gives are my favorites. The smile, the unexpected small kindness, the silly moments and shocking complete strangers all are great gives and so memor… Continue

1st time blogger

This is my very first time blogging anywhere! I am happy to have found this website. I have always liked to give and somehow always feel I get more back than I actually give.
DAY 1
I spent the whole day thinking about what my fiirst give should be. I saw many opportunities and did many small gives...a seat on the bus, help with a project, a smile to a frazzled mother....I try to be kind always and these small kindnesses are things I often do but somehow because I was concentrating on the beginni… Continue

I am looking for calmness also and have been purging my negative thoughts. Everytime "mental movies" or thoughts that were negative crept into my head I would literally say, "stop" and I would replay them into happy thoughts. A year later I am having much more positive reactions to life and rarely negative ones. I am glad you are here.

Hi Maureen - you're doing GREAT with the site - you've got your blog up and running and your photo! Awesome!

I'm also a big fan of travel - and I love your fair city! Maybe we could start a discussion in which fellow givers share photos of some of their art! That might be inspirational!
