Chrissy, thank you for going through all of that effort to give us a 15 minute practice, I can't wait to start it. Knowing the effort you put in will make my effort to use it a little greater. The gift you gave to CHristopher is much more than a c...

Meg your friendship has given me more than I think you could ever know. You inspire me in so many ways - your thoughtfulness, your joy, your faith, the compassion you bring to the world around you... mark that down for one of your last 22 days :)

There are actually 2 gifts I have been giving - that scare me to death. I can't write about them because they concern my job and what it is I am most afraid of. But letting go of my fear feels good.

You have a wonderful attitude-- turning paying a parking ticket into giving a gift! That nice note will probably brighten someone's day.

Kudos to you!!! I love how you turned a nasty parking ticket into a gift. That was a brilliant idea ;-)

Day #7 Changed my profile

I am into this a week and am thinking how can I come up with 22 more things to give. It made me think about what I am getting out of this experience. Many of my gifts have been given without me seeing the joy of the recipient. They are dropped at doors, delivered by someone else, dropped in the mail. So in giving, I am not expecting anything in return yet I know that these friends and strangers will somehow pay it forward. When we receive nice notes, little gifts, we in turn are a little happier… Continue

Irish love to my friend in need, Day #4

Today the weather is gloomy, cloudy, very autumnal. I love sun so never feel quite right when it clouds over. Yesterday I emailed my best friend to ask her to meet for lunch at our favorite restaurant. It is a place that gives all of its profits to charity. ALl of the waiters are volunteers. THey have an incredible book shop attached. I woke up not feeling so great but decided to go anyway. I brought her a shamrock Christmas tree ornament to remind her of a trip she and her family took this summ… Continue

Day #

Today I regifted something that I loved. It was a piece of art that is made of metal and shaped like a flower. It is bright and cheery. I decided to give this to the custodial woman at our girls' school. She is a great role model for all of the girls. She is a completely competent woman doing everything from fixing the boiler to riding a lawn mower, to sanitizing everything to keep our kids healthy. To boot, she comes in everyday with her hair curled or braided, wearing make-up and always in a g… Continue

Day #2

Last night I laid in bed thinking about all of the people I would like to offer gifts to. It made me think how much I love to receive little gifts for no reason. I hope to bring this joy to others. I want to wrap each gift as well. It is fun to receive a gift but it is really fun to receive a wrapped gift. TOday I sent my sister a few CD's. She lives out of town so I wrapped them with a bow, put in a card and dropped it in the mail. I can't wait until she gets it. Tomorrow I have a gift for one… Continue

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.

Thank you, Deb. I hope to get my hip x-rayed tomorrow - it has been unbearably painful for about 2 1/2 months. Once I get the x-rays, the next step is probably PT.
