Melanie!
A great big "Hey!" from Woodstock, Ga, USA! I am so happy we have so many givers from all over the world! Thanks for joining at such an exciting time! Today is my 22nd day on my 9th round of 29 days! I hope you have the wonderful experience here that I have!
Let me know if you need any help!
We did a "give" in Atlanta this past summer and gave away 100 roses on a sidewalk, it was 9 members from the metro ATL area, we started a "local" group, and you can start or join one too!
Make friends, read blogs, write blogs and leave other members comments! Post pics and videos, join inner groups and GIVE! You can give smiles, give hugs, give time, give stuff, give love, give kindness, coffee, lunch, spare change, breaks in traffic, parking spaces, compliments, flowers, whatever your heart leads you to! You just write on here nightly or daily what you gave and see how it will change you in 29 days! Have fun and watch for miracles to happen in your life when you do 29 gives and blogs in 29 days! Hope to see you around in the site!

Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
Seeing other people being happy over a flower, a helping hand or a friendly word - that makes me happy, too. Giving hope, joy and love is a very good feeling. And I think that I have so much to give.
What I'd most like to receive:
Some time, a friendly word, an honest smile.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
I read about it in the Cosmopolitan Germany
About me:
I'm Melanie, 24, I live an Graz / Austria.
I feel like I'm standing at a cross-road and I'm not sure which direction I should choose. So many things in my life are changing right now, and sometimes I feel lost.
So many opportunities, so many ways to go - but which way is the right one for me?
Do you agree to read and follow the 29Gifts Code of Conduct once you join our site?

I'm back among the living!

I had a common cold the last days - lying around, coughting, sneezing, bothering my fiance.
The only gifts I could give these days was not be too annoying ^^

In spite of my cold I went to my course on saturday. I thought I was feeling better - wrong decision, I had to stay in bed all sunday.

On monday I promised to help my mum cleaning up and renovate my parents new project, a new coffee shop.
In return for that, I felt terrible on thuesday, so I lay in again the wh… Continue

03/03/09 - 11th day

My parents have returned from England and wanted to meet me and my fiance for lunch.
It was good to see that they're okay, everything went well in Liverpool. They told us lots of stories and we had a really good time. And they brought me some gifts: 3 tops, all in my favourite colour purple ^^
I told my family about some thoughts and plans for my future, and their answer was great: they will support me, whatever I'll do. Some of you might think: well, isn't that normal? Parents should support th… Continue

03/02/09 - 10th day

After I wrote my post about my 9th day at the challenge, I went to the next supermarket to buy some things for the big breakfast. My boyfriend woke up as I got dressed, so it was no surprise ;-(

At the supermarket I also bought some things my fiance loooooves to eat and drink. Last august we had our 5th anniversary, so I know what he likes ;-) I took my time to get everything, then I came back and we prepared our breakfast. We had toast, salmon, italian prosciutto and so on. And we had our brea… Continue

03/01/09 - 9th day

Wow, 9 days! Time goes by so fast - I'm looking forward to the next 20 days ;-)

Yesterday was sunday, and I give ... myself and time.

I called my granny who is looking after my parents dog Herkules (they are still in Liverpool, but they will return on Thuesday).
She said she's fine, the dog is okay too. But I kinda heard in her voice that she feels alone. She is sitting in the appartment of my parents watching after the dog. Although she knows this appartment, it must be hard to be there in th… Continue

02/28/09 - 8th day

I feel like I'm back in school again ;-)

Yesterday my job training started quite early. I only knew the building was somewhere on the area of the local psychatric clinic (the loony bin ^^) - this area is quite huge, so I left me appartment early to have some time left to find it. I saw a young woman on the bus and I guessed that she is going to this building too. I asked her, and jackpot! We were looking around together and found the building and the classroom.

The course takes part on every s… Continue
