Dear Friends and Family:

I am writing you this letter to let you know that I will be participating in the 2009 Alzheimer’s Associations Memory Walk. This is my second year participating in this event. An event I feel so strongly about.

In my professional role as a certified Nursing ssistant for almost 14 years, I worked mainly with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Patients and their families. I saw first -hand the devastation and heartbreak that those with these illness’ deal with everyday.

A Blessing Coming Our Way...)O(

Well, I was told about a wonderful website called wishuponahero.com by someone here at the challenge and lo and behold I might have gotten that wish granted!! A couple in San Bernadino offered the chance for Rick and I to rent from them...it's large garage and a covered patio. This is a huge improvement from where we are. So, keep us in your prayers. I almost didn't read the blog you posted, "A Keeper."
Seems we're always in such a hurry and I can't ALWAYS read ALL the blogs ... so I scan through them. I saw yours and the picture along with it and wasn't really sure what it was. I didn't read it at first but the next time I visited the site my curiousity got the best of me. I AM SO GLAD I READ IT.

Yes, we need reminders like this ... to live in the now, to live as if there's no tomorrow, to treasure life ....
