Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
To make room for new events in my life, to give things to someone who can use them, to think of more nonmaterial ways to give. I'm a big fan of www.storyofstuff.com.
What I'd most like to receive:
Can I get back to you on this? It changes from day to day.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
It was on Art by Chrysti's website.
About me:
I live 15 miles NW of Washington DC in Montgomery County, MD. Everywhere I go I meet wonderful people and hear stories about even more. I've lived here all my life and I still love it.

To Cheer a Sick Friend

I have an online acquaintance who I just found out has cancer and is in his sixth round of chemo. Ouch and yuck!

I sent him the URL for a Flickr site showing 19th century risque photographs of women in various stages of artistic undress. I told him I thought it might cheer him up.

He doesn't want pity, so I sent him nudity instead. 8-J

Mbali, this is such a pertinent post for me right now. I'm struggling with forgiveness and resentments I hold against someone right now. I know, rationally, that it is hurting me far more than it will ever hurt her... I can't let go yet. I'm working…
