I have so much and am truly blessed with so many of those non-material things we take for granted. I embrace the notion of giving back as a way to connect with God, myself and others.

Born and raised in small-town Nebraska, currently living in Fort Wayne, Indiana. After 7 years in the legal profession and 6 years thereafter in corporate administration, I decided to stay home with my three lovely children. My task - raising them all into respectible citizens without having them returned defective:)

We've become THAT family

You know, the one on the street where the kids congregate. Along with preparing to host a couple of friends for an early dinner of his famous smoked ribs, Mike and I spent the day watching our kids along with a gaggle of the neighborhood kids run in and out of the house. RIP Little Bird

In the spirit of "getting out of the house" today and with nothing much to do, I took a little trip to a local outdoor mall in our area that I haven't yet had a chance to peruse. I didn't really need anything, just to get away... alone. After getting a proper bra fitting at Vicoria's Secret (have been needing one of these forever!) and subjecting myself to the torture that is "eyebrow threading," I continued to stroll along, window shopping and day-dreaming.

I was a part of a really awesome prison program called Bridges to Life for a year while I lived in Texas. During my time with that program, I grew in so many ways, but most of all, in my humanity. Zumba 101

Yesterday I gave each one of my students a Zumba bracelet with a copy of the songs we've been using for the past 8 weeks. Really didn't feel like much to me but they were all SO EXCITED which made me feel really, really good:)

okay, I'll admit it...

It seems my posting here is quite random to say the least. Pretty much in line with my personality... I really have committed to this challenge, just have a random way of documenting them. So today my committment continues with the conscious knowledge that my posting is not perfect. So I'm off to teach a Zumba class this morning.
