Freely Forgiving- Day 5

Today I was blessed to have my husband home from work. The one upside to ARMY life stateside is the occasional 3 or 4-day weekend. He is in intense training for an upcoming endeavor, so after some time put in at the gym and a shower, he took a nap with Baby Bear. I read Cami's book and decided to begin the 29-Day Challenge back in February of last year while I was in my first trimester of my pregnancy, my husband away at ARMY training, and my 1st year of teaching. Let me just come out and say it- I am a closet BINGO addict. I have not played in a very long time, but when my dad asked me to come to BINGO at our church last night I was thrilled. Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:: I am a stay-at-home mama to my beautiful baby boy, and a military spouse. I used to be a teacher who spent all of her free time working or spending time with family and friends who are now 8 hours away. I just find myself in a "funk" of feelings of sadness and uselessness. Re-starting this challenge came to my heart.

What I'd most like to receive:: Light.

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: I read Cami's book.

About me:: I am a mama to a baby boy, and a military spouse. I used to be a teacher. I love the beach, Mexican food, a good book, and a bowl of ice cream.

Cart Catcher- Day 11

Today I was forced out of the house by my husband; lovingly, of course. We had an amazing experience at church this morning, and it seems that when I am truy committed to my relationship with God, the negativity of the enemy attacks me. When we came home, I was feeling down on myself about not having any close friends. Instead of letting myself stew in the negativity, my husband encouraged me to have some Me-Time.

Despite my absent blog posts from yesterday and today, my giving has still been going on...

Yesterday, Saturday, August 18th, my husband, Baby Bear, and I ran some errands. He is preparing for a new military endeavor, so we went and picked up a lot of the necessary gear that he will be using in the next couple of weeks. Hit the Target- Day 9

I started off the morning affirmation-less. It didn't feel genuine; it felt as though I was just searching for an adverb. I decided I was going to stick with the challenge, I just didn't know how to bless my giving for the day. Regardless, my gift today was purposeful.

Hubby was invited to hit golf balls with a couple of his battle buddies, so Baby Bear and I had a mama and baby date to Target to stock up on his food. As we browsed the aisles, I made it my gift to pick up any items…
