Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:: My father passed away on December 23rd, 2009. My friend comitted suicide on February 25th, 2010. I am giving as a way to re-affirm life and honor their memories.

What I'd most like to receive:: Peace.

How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?: My friend Lori fiound the book.

About me:: These past few months have brought a lot of change into my life. Losing my father and friend so close together, and starting college for the first time in my life, life has become a bit crazy.

Rnd2, Day4

One of my co-workers was working in the biopsy room and was running behind schedule. She and I are not the "best of friends." I saw that she was getting overwhelmed, so I got her next patient ready for her to help her out. That was my gift for day 4.

Rnd 2, day 1-3

Day one, (2-12) I went to school Saturday morning and there was a group having a bake sale to raise money for the Susan G Komen 3-day. I donated $5 to the cause.

Day two, (2-13) I gave the gift of time and went to a church dinner with my Mom.

Day three, (2-14) One of the girls at work is selling candy bars for a daughter's school fund raiser. I bought $20 worth to send to B in Iraq. I also started writing him a letter and shared some extra paper with a few people at work so…

I think I'll get started on round two. I have really learned a lot, it has been a great experience. My first give of round two is a pledge to everyone else here, especially the first timers, to comment more on other people's post and offer them the same support and encouragement I have recieved here. Thank you all for your wonderful gifts.
