Day 13 "Giving A Handful of Change to some Kiwi's"

The other day at my brother's engagement party at the Hawthorne's here in New Zealand, family and friends and soon to be in laws all crowded in a 50 max capacity room to celebrate two events. One event was my brother's engagement party and the other event was a going away party for a fellow co-worker of his. Anyways, drinks were ordered and people were chatting. I found that talking to children to be fun in exploration and learning, so I offered the lil twins, eight years old to rummage thru my… Continue

Day 12 received free beads just to make 'em and give to the same woman who gave the beads for keeps

My mom's friend friend knows connections overseas as well as having a niece who owns a pearl farm. So she gave me all these strands of genuine pearls to string and make into necklaces and earings. I made all these earrings, something like 8 pairs and three long pearl necklaces each one 102-112 pearls and given to her free of charge and the rest of the pearls and beads she gave me as gift. She also treated me to lunch a few times b/c she would order custom orders like a chain to hold the eye wear… Continue

cooked for homeless friend Day11

On a Wednesday, I cooked for a friend who is homeless. He recently bought an used 1970's RV. It's pretty good, with full amenities to survive in. A full bathroom and full kitchen with four gas stoves. I spent 78 bucks for the essentials to cook with including food. Since I didn't own a cooler, I bought one. The stuff that I bought added up like cookware and stuff but that was pretty basic usage. I made him curry chicken with side order of sliced avocados, strawberries and yoohoo chocolate milk a… Continue

Recreating and Fixing a Necklace from Tibet. Day 10

My Sister-In Law handed me a necklace to have fix. I had the piece for a few weeks now, maybe as far as up to a month until I gotten to fixing it. I had to do sorting, planning and finally assembling it. It was a necklace my mom bought from a trip to Tibet. The artist apparently used nylon to thread the beads which eventually snapped and luckily had the pieces to fix it back and have the supplies to put it all back together. Used what was in stock. Basic beading wire, crimps, and toggle clasp cl… Continue

Day 9

I have a history of people wrongfully accuse me of crimes I've never did, so I prayed for all of them and for myself to forgive them. As well as for the people who actually committed the crimes, I prayed for them as well. One of the most recent wrongfully accused crimes was blamed on me just last year! A woman in the neighborhood wrongfully accused me of something I've NEVER done. Just because in this World everyone has an identical look-alike doesn't mean she has the right to arbitrailly point… Continue

Dear Nana,
thanks for the friend invite and also for the good wishes for our travels. we are actually stationary for a few months due to some family issues that prevent us from going too far afield, but we hope to be on the move again pretty soon. you are right, it is really fun traveling around. we get to see stuff we've always wanted to see, and stuff we didn't even know existed LOL. hope you have a good week. Hugs, Dawn
