Heart Giving

I am resisting the urge to make giving a law. Isn't it funny how our human nature wants to make everything a law? It's important to live at the pace of grace. I choose to be prompted to give today. To allow it to just happen. I choose to be directed to give. I choose to give from the good part of the heart :).

Grateful

I am very grateful to have found this site. With so much emphasis on negative thinking these days how refreshing it is to be a part of a positive thinking and positive doing community. I have renewed hope in the human race. Norman Vincent Peale would be proud (positive thinking clergyman-now deceased). Today I gave the gift of forgiveness. It was huge. I also gave myself the gift of exercise. Cami your life has become the sun and it shines on the world.

Welcome to 29 Gifts! I'm so glad you decided to join us.

Enjoy your 29 Days and don't forget to share some stories to help inspire others. If you need help posting in your Personal Giving Blog, follow these directions.

Help Us Grow: Please help spread the word. We're striving to reach our goal of 29,000 committed givers, and you can help: Send this Invitation to friends, write about the challenge and include a badge or our video on your website, blog, facebook, or myspace page.

The book 29 Gifts: How a Month of Giving Can Change Your Life - authored by 29 Gifts founder Cami Walker is now in stores. You can also buy through Amazon.

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

Mary

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.

Welcome to the challenge, Nicole. What an amazing role you already have in people's lives. I remember well the loving support we received from the Hospital Chaplain when my mother died. May 29Gifts enrich your life and ministry.
