Gabrielle, you learned so much today, about yourself and about how life works. Honesty with yourself is the finest gift you can give and to learn that your happiness (or lack) is in your own hands is priceless. Choose happiness and the Universe will…

You are much more than your work! I'm sure you are a good dog-groomer, and I'm sure the dogs and their owners miss you -- but no one's worth as a human being depends on their work. I hope that you will be able to go back to the work you love, but in…

The BEST give. Wow, to get something you have been longing for, and turn around and give it away-- your heart is most definitely at peace today. That is the definition of friendship. Well given!

That is so sad, and extra difficult at this time of year. I'm sure your support means a lot.

We do learn so much on this path .... try to remember two things: every giver needs a receiver, and most importantly, liking yourself is a really, really good thing to do! enjoy releasing that negativity and receiving fun and beautiful things to put…

I feel everything comes into your life for a reason, and the awareness of this wonderful challenge is coming to me just before my 54th birthday for a reason, so I am accepting it.
What I'd most like to receive:

I've been living in the Czech republic for almost a year and a half and I have the language skills of about a 3 year old (if assessed generously) but people are kind and patient most of the time, and I'm starting to understand a lot more and even occasionally make myself understood. I wanted to give some clothes that I haven't worn since moving here to the local Charitas (a charity that helps the poor) and so I asked one of my students how to go about it. She kindly looked up the hours (they are… Continue

3 more days + 2 more $ gives :-)

So far, so good :-) On the 13th it was cold and blustery so I didn't want leave the house, but I cooked real Southwestern chili for a Czech friend who had never had the pleasure of that taste! It was a huge success, and Steve made cornbread, we needed a lovely dark Czech brew to go with it and Steve had been cleaning his little fingers off all morning, so I volunteered to go to the store for the beer, as he hadn't even had a chance to shower yet. This is a huge give because I never go to… Continue

it's getting easier :-)

This is the 8th day my 10th round of giving and I challenged myself this round to deal with feeling comfortable about making monetary gives. I have no problem with giving money when I feel flush, but when things start to feel scarce I get very stressed around anything to do with money. I wasn't always like this, and I want to get back to my old attitude that there WILL always be enough. So I've challenged myself that half of my gives this month be about money. So far so good -- and today a post… Continue

little gives

The last few days I haven't gone out much, it's been blustery, wet and cold, so my gives have been little and mostly of time. I gave time late at night (relatively--10:30pm) to a client, because it was the only time everyone was available for the conference call he wanted to do. I also did a few things for Steve, like empty the dishwasher, because he has been doing all the shopping for food and cooking this week, and we are both kind of running on empty. I also promised to go with him tomorrow t… Continue

Giving to remember

I'm still pretty down today, still processing my grief over losing my lovely kitty, and my sadness at being so far away from my god-daughter during all this trauma for her. But I felt I needed to give and to also not to use this as an excuse to abandon my monetary giving challenge. So after a great deal of rather pointless chasing around in my mind, I finally hit upon a suitable monetary give. I spent some time in the past on the Greek island of Paros and they have a local animal welfare society… Continue

Thanks for you sweet comments. You know, you're so right, being in charge of my health is a gift. I'd never looked at it that way, I'd always seen it as a coping mechanism. I have gotten better results by being informed, reading my own reports, asking questions, and seeking answers rather than just following doctors orders. Thank you for shifting my perspective on that. It's works well my gift for today. I appreciate it! Happy Giving!
