Sofa - not the seat

I have just started a new drumming course, and the rhythm we are learning is called Sofa, which just happens to be the same rhythm being played in the video on my page titled "Grand Master Mamady Keita II".

I am learning the part played on the dunduns, as seen played by the guy standing on the right of shot in the video.
