Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. ~Leo

Yes

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better place than we found it, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life breathed easier because you lived: this is to have succeeded. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Share Love 2 ~ Days 14 & 15

It's so great to finally have Jeff home again. It's not much fun around here when he's away on a business. I didn't make it into bed last night until 1am and I never had the time to sit down and create a post. The last couple days have been busy, so I'm combining the two blogs into one.

Share Love 2 ~ Day 13

We squeezed a lot of activity into this cold Tuesday. After saying farewell to Grandma this morning, we drove an hour to Elijah's doctor's appointment. After that, the children and I did a little shopping in Columbus since his doctor's office is located near some great shopping centers. Soon we headed home again, another 1+ hour of driving. The rest of the day was a flurry of unpacking, phone calls, dinner, and special time with the children.

Gave:
1. Made Grandma's bed as a surpr… Continue

Share Love 2 ~ Day 12

Today was a gift for me and my children. We were able to spend most of the day with my Grandma. It's been several months since we've spent the day together. That's several months too long. She's getting weaker and age is really beginning to take it's toll. I'm hoping to find more days to spend with her while she's still with us.

Gave:
1. Wrote several notes and hid them for Jeff in his luggage to find throughout his business trip.
2. Returned a stray shopping cart to the store.
3.… Continue

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.
