Yes

To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a little better place than we found it, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life breathed easier because you lived: this is to have succeeded. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson

Share Love ~ Day 17

Today has flown by. There was so much to do, but I was able to accomplish everything on my "to do" list and crossed a few things off my list for tomorrow as well. Jeff worked from home today, which is always nice. I enjoy having him around. We actually have plans to spend some extra time together this evening, so I'm going to finish up here and get back to him.

Gave:
1. Prepared a special treat for everyone this afternoon.
2. Made arrangements for my Mom's upcoming trip since her… Continue

Share Love ~ Day 16

It seems like time just passes faster as each day brings us closer to this holiday season. There's so much to do and not enough hours in the day. I'm typing this post at midnight...a time when I'm typically already in dreamland. I'll make up for the lack of proper sleep sometime.

Gave:
1. Taught my family a new game and then played with them for more than an hour.
2. Sent a copy of SharingContinue

Share Love ~ Day 15

We spent a lot of time working on holiday crafts again today. I believe we're finally finished. Unless I get another idea.... It was great to spend the time with my children. We had some really interesting conversations while working together.

Elijah had an intense seizure this evening. He hasn't had one like this in several weeks. It was frightening. He's been ok for the remainder of the evening, except for one other small seizure just before going to sleep.

Gave:
1. A card to s… Continue

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!

Happy giving!

P.S. Don't miss our handy 29-Day Giving Calendar or our cute Gift Note to accompany your gifts.
