Today I decided to send love to seven old friends whom I haven't spoken to in awhile (a few I haven't spoken to in years!). I sent each an email just to touch base, say hello and let them know I am thinking of them. I don't know if everyone will write me back. I think that's why this is a good thing to do, and giving in it's truest sense - writing to tell someone you love them, without expecting a certain reply, or a reply at all.

I am late writing this, but yesterday was my second day of giving. I gave time to help my mother-in-law with some of her work-related needs. She runs her own business and is very talented. However, she is not as adept at some of the technical components of her work. So, I helped her by spending three hours getting tasks done for her and putting together some recommendations. I just made a donation to J/P HRO Haitian Relief Organization. I saw a bit about the work Sean Penn's organization is doing in Haiti on Oprah earlier today. I was really moved by the commitment to find homes for 20,000 Haitians displaced by the earthquake. The Oprah segment featured two mothers who remained positive and determined after suffering loss during the quake. What an inspiration.
