- Im struggling with a difficult breakup that is ripping my heart open at the seams- the seams sobriety has given me... Recovery has healed my life and my heart... but my sanity and my dear life mare being threatened by heartbreak. As we say- I need to give it away to keep it.

It took total abandonment and rejection on multiple levels- but most especially and recently from one I thought truly loved me unconditionally- to discover self-acceptance. I had no idea when i got acceptance tattooed on my foot 5 months ago, that I would be struggling with acceptance of myself.

Day 4 &5
bought a coworker a treat and gave a gift to a very special person for a very special reason.
It was incredibly humbling to walk away when I wanted to cry and plead and beg him to come back to me. But its his day and not about me- I smiled and walked away feeling like a tons of bricks was lifted off my shoulders. Giving sets you free.
Still- today I cried so much. I miss him with all my heart and soul.

Day 3
I have been depressed because of my recent breakup but thankfully was reminded today to think of others to get out of my own head. I text as many people as I could an encouraging message today telling them what I really needed to be telling myself... and it felt so good. I also called a lonely older gentleman that is an artist that I work with sometimes. He was encouraged.
