Day 29

I decided not to go out on this cold windy day. I stayed indoors and relaxed all day. That could have been my gift but I decided instead to spend a full 20 minutes playing with my cat. I don't often play with her so this was a real treat for her. Afterwords, she was a grateful purring ball of fluff! A good way to end these 29 days of giving.

Thought I won't officially do a second round and certainly won't be blogging about it, I do intend to be more aware of the gift I give and who I give them… Continue

Day 28

I went to a warehouse sale with my mother and a friend of hers. Lots of blank journals, cards and envelops, ribbon and pretty papers. At the checkout, there was a young man helping put our new belongings into bags and I noticed his tattoos on his hands. And I decided to start a conversation with him about tattoos. We talked for a good 5 minutes and it was very interesting. Turns out he is a tattoo model for one of the parlours downtown and he attends conventions and poses for tattoo magazines. W… Continue

Days 26 and 27

Thursday's gift was to myself. It was a gift I had been needing for a while now. I gave myself permission to accept that I can't make everything right no matter how hard I try. And with that, I gave myself permission to cry my heart out. It sounds silly even as I type this but I've been keeping my head high and trying to be strong for so long that I forgot to give myself these permissions.

Friday's gift was a special activity with the kids at work. One of them had been asking me for many weeks… Continue

Day 25

On Tuesday, I learned that my coworker will be on sick leave until at least the 21st of November. Last week, she had asked if I could make a birthday card for one of her friends. She usually buys my cards at a price of 5$. I decided that since she has a lot on her mind, I wouldn't ask her for the money this time around. So Wednesday, when my boss asked if I wanted to go with her to visit our coworker and have coffee together, I said yes and brought the card with me. She almost cried when I told… Continue

Day 24

Today's gift was to spend time with my boss. We've been having a rough couple of days at work and after the lunch hour, I decided to stay at the school instead of coming home and spent some time with my boss just talking about anything and everything. It was a gift for her AND for myself.

Sophie - I set up a group called Canadians Care but after that I discovered the group you had created!!! I am so sorry but it didn't come up when I looked for something from Canada initially.
Again, my apologies for stepping on your toes - it was unintentional.

Sophie,
A great big Hey from Woodstock, Ga, USA! I am so happy we have so many givers from all over the world! Thanks for joining at such an exciting time! I am on the 11th day of the 5th round of 29 days. I hope you have the wonderful experience here that I have!
Let me know if you need any help! We did a "give" in Atlanta 3 Saturdays ago and gave away 100 roses on the sidewalk, it was 9 members from the metro ATL area, we started a "local" group, and you can start one too!
Make friends, read blogs, write blogs and leave other folks comments! Post pics and videos, join inner groups and GIVE! Have fun and watch for miracles to happen in your life when you do 29 in 29!
