Why I'm choosing to give:
People deserve kindness and compassion. 29 Days is a great reminder to consciously help and/or simply be nice to others.
What I'd most like to receive:
What a complicated question. I don't really "need" anything to be me. Of course everyone wants more money and I do have some fabulous ideas for contributing to the world in a more tangible positive way if someone was to give me a few hundred thousand dollars.
About me:
Just your un-average dreamer, environmentalist, activist, and friend.

The Thing I Can't Live Without

Ever since watching Cami's video, I've been thinking about what I will give away that I can not live without. So far nothing has come to mind, except my ice skates BUT they are custom to only fit me so I'm safe :) I'm pretty sure whatever IT is the universe will let me know in time.

Day ???

I’ve been really side swiped but still so proud to be part of this challenge. Sad to say, but I must stop blogging for now. My very last minutes of free time have been taken up by rescuing Ziggy, a 3 week old kitten. Of course I will continue looking for opportunities to be kind and giving for all my 29 days, however, I simply don’t have time to blog about them at this time. Cami is awesome for making this project happen. I’ve just posted her video on MySpace to help spread the word. Whoo Hoo… Continue

Day 13, 14 and 15 Whoosh I need to catch up.

Posted on July 2, 2008 at 5:37pm 0 Comments

Going out of my way to do something extra special EVERY day is more challenging than I imagined. That’s why I am sooo grateful for this 29 day “campaign”. It really puts me in the giving frame of mind!

One evening I realized what little time I spend getting to know my neighbors. So I sat on my porch reading and making polite conversation with everyone out for a stroll, parking their car nearby or walking their dog. It was a lovely evening and simply a nice opportunity to be friendly… Continue

Days 11 and 12: Elders and Friends

Posted on June 30, 2008 at 6:00pm 0 Comments

Saturday I was at street fair when an elderly man tripped and tumbled down near me. It was one of those moments when you knew the person was okay and mostly feeling embarrassed, and perhaps so was his wife. For a split second I thought the decision to walk on would be the best thing for his ego but then quickly realized his ego didn’t need me. His spirit and kind soul needed me. So I stopped and sat on the curb with him for awhile, as though nothing had happened and we were just two friends… Continue

Day 10: Share Your Passion

Posted on June 27, 2008 at 10:30pm 0 Comments

Today held a momentous concert event in London to honor Mr. Nelson Mandela for his 90th birthday and to raise awareness for his charity 46664 fighting AIDS. This is a human rights issue that I have become very passionate about. So for my gift, I shared my passion with the hope that others will also be inspired to do something that brings about positive change. I set up the concert broadcast to be viewed in the conference room at my office by all employees interested and anyone passing by the… Continue

Day 9: Give Books, Give Knowledge

Posted on June 27, 2008 at 10:00pm 0 Comments

I donated a bunch of books to my local library. My taste is very eclectic so I’m sure someone will learn something new.

JUST to let you know?? Yep, the brownies are sooo delicious!! I saved you one- you coming over?? *LOL* NICE job with stopping to help someone. SO many people would have just driven right past, and not even bothered to BE so caring. I know ALL too well how overwhelming and confusing it is to travel- as I have actually HAD similar experiences. If people can be more understanding and patient, like you, this world will BE a nicer place for everyone.

Welcome. And thanks for your comment/suggestions about the video.

I don't know how to do the embedded code thing... but I think I can figure out how to post it on youtube. The person who helps with everything technical is volunteering in Africa for two months so if I can't figure it out on my own, I'll have to wait.
