Why I'm choosing to give:
I went through a very difficult time in my life. I found myself divorced after 17 years of marriage with 4 beautiful children. I was a single parent for the first time. I am so thankful that during that time so many of my friends, family and loved ones encouraged me on a daily basis through phone calls, visits, and little notes. Had it not been for their encouraging words of wisdom, support, and advice, I don't know where I would have been. I am so thankful that God sent His precious 'Earth Angels' to encamp around me during my time of restoration. These 'Earth Angels' kept me in remembrance that I was going to fine. God used them to minister to me in my time of need. I know that we are not design to function independently but our purpose in life is to work interdependently. We are created to need help and assistance, so that we may always be looking for answers and direction. As long as we don't loose sight to whom our ultimate source is and trusts in Him only. Be thankful for the people that He sends in your to minister to you and remind you of whose you are. We must come to the realization the importance of giving and receiving: Seed Time and Harvest. Although we all wish to be in our season of harvest we can not have a season of harvest without planting, giving, or sowing something.
What I'd most like to receive:
I want to position myself so that I am in a place to receive the abundance God has for my life so that I may leave behind a wonderful legacy for children and my children’s children. I wish for the doors that should be closed in life, be closed and the doors that should be opened, be opened.
About me:
My name is Tisha DeShields and I started my company Original Belly Works. Original Belly Works was born out of a desire to make my own contribution to the family budget while being a stay-at-home mom. I also wanted to create something tangible that would forever keep me connected to that special time in my life. I am a mother of 4 who has turned her hobby into a business. I have found that I am most innovative and productive when I am being stretched to my limit. Keeping with the extremely busy schedule that comes with raising children, like so many mothers I felt a deep need to experience something of my own. I always had a creative craving and have always been trying to find my own artistic voice. My company has taken a fairly new concept and revolutionized it. Original Belly Works takes belly casting to a whole new dimension. . We provide kits for pregnant women, so they can create a plaster mold of their pregnant tummy. We can fiber glass the plaster molds of the pregnant mommies tummy, decorate them and create lasting keepsakes for the mother and child. I began casting to create a lasting heirloom for each of my children. In so doing, my friends and family were so amazed at the detail, the artistry, and the overall concept that they suggested I create a business doing what I'd been so passionate about and Original Belly Works was conceived. I am proud to announce that I have officially given birth to 'My Baby'. Like all proud mothers, I am enjoying watching my 'Baby' grow and develop.
It hasn’t always been easy, but who said ‘Motherhood‘ was. But it has been very rewarding.

I never imagined that I would make my career as an artist. But inspiration and ‘LIFE’ has a funny way of giving us wings and courage! I am grateful to my family and to God for such a rich and rewarding opportunity.
