Time to create a more giving world!

Profile Information

Why I'm choosing to give:
It's the right thing to do! We all have a duty to give back to our Society and our world. We take everyday and need to make sure we are taking time to give back.
What I'd most like to receive:
I love to see the joy in peoples faces when they are on the receiving end of a gift, it is a gift to me. I also like knowing that I am not only taking but returning to the world and the society that I belong to.
How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
My sister (Sharon) and my Mom (Georgia) has been doing this for a while, unfortunely it took me a while longer to decide I had the time to do it (even though I was already trying to give a gift each day.)
About me:
I live in Gainesville, Georgia and love to give back to the local community and to the earth (environmentally) more that we take.

I like to give just for me!

I am also on the Hall County American Cancer Society Relay for Life Committee. I work on the Accounting team and do lots of other things as needed for the committee.

Sorry I took a bit of a break, school takes up lots of my time, but I am still giving every day. I need to share a story that happened yesterday.

I did my usual thing and I paid for the person in line behind me, but instead of being in the drive thru, I was in the line at the cafeteria at school. The person behind me was a fellow classmate and was confused as to why I would pay for his food. I told him to enjoy it, save the money, spend it some other time or pay for someone else sometime and then I went on my way.

Later just before class started he approached me very excitedly and stated "I have to tell you what you started. I paid for t… Continue

09/09/09 What a date!!! Back to school and it is starting to fell like the norm

So today it's back in class, it really is starting to feel normal.

My daughter's car is acting up so I have let her drive mine today. So I am stuck here on campus until someone (my hubby or daughter) comes to get me, I don't get out of my last class until 4:45 so It's not to bad. I just have to eat lunch here instead of going off campus like I usually do (unless my husband takes pity on me and picks me up for lunch).

Not much else going on today, just giving up my freedom of driving for my dau… Continue

Hi, Trisha. I've been away for such a long time, missed so much and am spending time getting to know what's going on. It's sort of comforting to know that I'm not the only one this happens to. It was great to see that you're still here - evidence that there truly is something in this challenge that draws people together. May your days be blessed with love and happiness.

Hi Trisha,
I do apologies for being such a bad friend, as I have explained to your mom my communication skills are below average. My working career I always had my own office, being a Salaries Administrator, and need not explain that one could not communicate much with one co-workers. The result today is I tend to shy away from conversations. That I realise it my next challenge get out there and open my big mouth, especially if I want Operation Teddy Bear Care to grow. That of cause is not an excuse for not commenting much on you blogs. But words fail me. I follow you wherever I see you have made comment. Please believe me you and your family are always in my thoughts and prayers.
Trisha thank you for the parcel you and your mom sent. I am like a child when the parcels arrive, can’t wait to see. Oh! It is such fun. It is thanks to You ,Georgia and Sharon that I am still striving to continue with Operation Teddy Bear Care. You have all been so faithful in this venture.

I hope we will be able to communicate more often. I promise to try my best.

Keep Smiling.
