- Why I'm choosing to give:
- I have been sick for over 1 year and the traditional Dr.s had no idea what was wrong. I could not leave the house. I went to an Integrative Dr. & on my 1st visit found that I have Celiac disease and that I am allergic to milk and soy. Others had me on a "low-residue" diet which basically consisted of pasta. No wonder I wasn't getting better. This Dr. gave me the gift of my life back- minus the wheat, milk and soy.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- I would like to receive whatever is meant for me to receive. I expect nothing.
- How did you hear about the 29-Day Giving Challenge?
- I bought the book and read it immediately and felt connected.
- About me:
- I have always been a giving and caring person but have always had issues with receiving. It made me feel that I was weak in some way. I had no choice but to start to let people in to help me when I was sick for 14 months before a diagnosis. I went out on short term disability from my job that I had been at for 18 years. I worked, sick, for 10 months before I couldn't do it anymore. I had to learn to receive help.

Support our Cause of the Month
In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving. She is hosting a Christmas Give and her theme is "going small to make a big impact" We have named her our November Cause of the Month and would be grateful for your support!
