Oh my gosh-I just realized that this is day 29 of my first Cycle!!!

I guess I best get started telling all of you wonderful givers what I have been up to since my last blog.
In no paticular order days 24,25,26,27,28 and today 29!!! Go me...Go me!!!
24-called to check on an acquiantance to see that see was doing ok with life. She was so touched that I took the time to call and make sure she was 'hangin' in there'. She was so surprised that I would be thinking about her.

days 22 and 23 and counting...

Day 22-the gives just fell into my lap. I made a quick stop by the bookstore on my way to meet a friend for lunch. When I was checking out the employee-who always has a smile in her heart-asked if I would like to donate a book for children to receive for Christmas. As it turns out the two books I grabbed (Dr. Suess) were buy 2 get the 3rd free. So, I actually donated 3 books instead of 1 which then turned into me receiving a discount on my purchase because I had met the 'special' amount to claim… Continue

Days 20 and 21

Yesterday was day 20 and I truly can't believe how fast this challenge goes flying by. Yesterday was a rather slow day aroung the house but I can say that I was still able to give. For me it was a huge give because I decided to bite my tongue in dealing with a situation with my ex-husband. A situation that was right out of the textbook of our marriage and one of the many reasons we are no longer married. Day 18 and 19

Friday November 13th (?) ended on a great note. I had gone to the grocery store to grab a few things for the weekend and I ended up having a pleasant conversation with the volunteer from the Salvation Army. I took my last few dollars for the week out of my wallet and placed them in the ever familiar red bucket. Its so uplifting to see how a simple act of a kindness adds a lighter step not only in my personal stride but a little more jolly in the volunteers ringing of his bell.
