Saturday I don't remember.

Yesterday I gave my mother some new long underwear.

Today was a lesson in giving and karma.

A co-worker last week bought a fish sandwich and said McDonald's was having a deal on them--they were only $1.00. Okay, so I am working toward being a vegan but I do ocasionally still eat shellfish. I am a little more reluctant to eat other types of fish but sometimes I still do. I'm not perfect and I have food issues, anyway. Now that the first part of the disclaimer is out… Continue

Life is Hectic

But wanted to stop by and jot down a couple of my gives because I forget so easily..yesterday I gave to Cafe Inclusion. I also gave people in traffic a break several times. I suffer somewhat from road rage so learning to be a more polite driver is a really good thing. Today I gave three boxes of tea to my co-workers by way of leaving the boxes in the break room. If you leave something in there it is sure to be used and appreciated by someone. I have been giving my doggie some extra sniffing arou… Continue

The Weekend in Gives

I wanted to *give* a hard time to a lot of people this weekend (lol!) but since starting this challenge I am trying to be more forgiving and to tell the truth, the challenge does help with that.

So, on Saturday my husband and I went to Cirque du Soleil. I had purchased the tickets for our anniversary in June....okay, it was more like a get for me because although he likes it too, I love and adore it. My give in this case was to drive us to the event because, that is really all I have for Saturd… Continue

Giving to the Animals

I decided in April of this year after watching a factory farming video that I could no longer eat land creatures. No more cows, pigs, chickens, ducks, goats or sheep. The way they are treated is beyond deplorable and beyond my comprehension. I do not know how people can be so cruel or uncaring (and yes, I know people are cruel to people all the time, too). It all breaks my heart. For myself, I couldn't rationalize eating animals when I claim to LOVE my dog (and I do love my dog) and other pets I… Continue
