I just joined a 29 day giving challenge. it is 00:46am. today will be my first day. i hope to come back to this blog at the end of today and report my first day of the challenge.

- Why I'm choosing to give:
- I chose to give because I want to get out of the scarcity mind set. I know there is abundance in the universe, and I want to be part of it by giving. Also I always feel rushed without watching what is really important in life. I want to be able to shift my point of view to look how wonderful the world is.
- What I'd most like to receive:
- A peace of mind to make precious people around me happy and smiling. and ability to appreciate abundance in all aspects of my life.

- I am a designer/photographer, working in NYC. Grew up in Japan, and moved to the US when I was 24. Recently got married, celebrated by our wonderful friends and families. Living with my super-hero husband and a lovely cat.

Day 3
My boss asked me to get her a cup of coffee. I bought her one without telling her that I paid for it. Just to show my thanks secretly.

Day 1 and 2
Day 1
I brought the best croissant in NYC to friends who were working on a show we saw. They were very happy, and sent me text messages, which made me happy.
Day 2
I gave extra change as a tip to the women at the register. She saw me yawning, and worried that I was too tired. I wanted to thank her with my small tip. I also gave an extra dollar to the cab drive.
I flew to Japan yesterday. Day 3 begins in a different country, but the same spirit.

In November, we're sponsoring a cause that has been started by fellow giver, Lubabat. We are so deeply touched and impressed by Lubabat's strength of character & spirit. Lubabat was diagnosed with MS in the mid 90s and then in August of 09, she was diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. Her reaction has been so inspirational - she is thriving through giving.
