Not a very good giving day. I bought the frames which were 3x what I had anticipated, and that was on sale, but I was determined to get those cardboard tubes off the table. Well, in the process, I didn't know that the ginormous (20x30- leaded glass) frame that I bought, had glass in the covers on the corners from another frame that had broken, and it wound up on the dining room table, cut the tablecloth and scratched mom's pristine table that she values more than life some days.
So now…

Today I called a good friend who just had a baby just to catch up. Was good to hear her voice just for a minute and she appreciated the call. :)

Bad teacher, bad teacher, (slapping hand), missed two days of blogging! Okay, day 21 was not a good one, I had insomnia for a full 24 hours and needless to say was not really helpful to anyone- I did walk the puppy at 6:30 instead of waking mom, since I was already up- does that count?
Yesterday was dread sock class. I was the furthest in my project and was really proud of that, until I worked on it last night, twisted a stitch and had to go back to the shop to find the missing…

The first day of my 29 Day challenge was Tues., July 28. We did a triathlon workout that evening and there is a guy in our group who lost a ton of weight while training and has really come a long way. So great! We did a run/swim and after I was finished running I walked out to the corner where he would be coming through and ran the last .25 mile with him to encourage him to better his time. He did! :) Felt great to help him achieve that & he was thankful for the help.
Wed. night…

I'm on day sixteen and I think there was a day that I didn't give. hmmm I've been writing about each day off line and had to do some catching up so my memory might be a little off. Anyway, this is what I've been learning and wanted to share. One, I actually give so much more than I think I do throughout each day. I just don't always consider what I do as gifts...until now. I have also realized how much I receive during the day. How many gifts are given to me. I think that has blown my mind more…

My daughter and her friends wanted to drive a few hours away to go to an amusement park. I gave her the keys to my newer, nicer, cleaner car than she has and off they went this morning! They will have a great time together, making a memory.
I made zucchini bread last night for my family and the neighbors (if it is good). I hope it turns out, I enjoy cooking, but I am not the best bread maker.

A man was supposed to call Paul today. We were going to go into Branson to meet him after his call. There is nothing worse than sitting at home waiting for a call that never came. Paul finally called him this evening. He wasn’t ready for us to come yet, maybe tomorrow. If he does the same tomorrow we will find someone else to help.
It was a rainy cool day today. Poor Kathy, she was all ready to go play on the slide at the park, but we just couldn’t make…

I just read in the newspaper that a former school teacher of mine was retiring after many years of teaching. I wrote and sent her a letter in the mail, detailing my memories of her and the classroom. She was always positive, warm, and welcoming in her classroom and I told her so. I think so many times we just assume people know how we feel about them, but it isn't true, we have to tell them.

Find out who your mother really is with
The Story Woman™.
Could it be that you don’t even like your mother? Ouch! Or maybe she’s so special to you and you love her so much that you can’t bring yourself to see her as someone distinct in her own right – someone separate from you. Have you ever taken the time to look at who your mother is at her core? Perhaps you don’t want to look…too scary, too sad, too poignant, too…

Yesterday I gave each one of my students a Zumba bracelet with a copy of the songs we've been using for the past 8 weeks. Really didn't feel like much to me but they were all SO EXCITED which made me feel really, really good:)

While coming down from my hike I saw two men on the trail coming my way from different paths. I said "both of those men are happy and joyous and it shows and I will know their bliss" sure enough the first one started happily talking to me from ten paces away. It was his first time on the trail and he was transfixed with how beautiful it was and to be so close to a big city like Los Angeles remarkable. I was just beginning to share with him the various trails he could explore when the second man…

Once upon a time it was an ordinary school day none the less and Stacey was getting ready to go. At the bus stop she kissed her Mom goodbye and told her i'll see you this afternoon. On the bus Stacey begin to have a headache but thought nothing of it and went on about her day. While walking to her first period Stacey begins to have blurriness in her right eye and goes and sits down at her desk and rubs her eye thinking it was just her contacts messing up or something. Little did she know that…

There is hope in everything that we go through everyday because i know that. People believe that they can not go on living t he way that they do now . I know sometimes it can be hard but if you believe it will get better then it will. I used to think that my life con't get any worse after everything that i went through. You just have to have Faith and also make everyday worth living for. Love for the ones around you and love for what you've got. for…

My mother went to a party and a friend took a picture of her with one of her best friends. I got a copy of the picture and made an enlargement for her. It is a perfect picture of 2 best friends with happy smiles.

I went to our library book sale and found some wonderful inspirational books to give to friends. I supported the library, paid for the books, and will give the books as gifts to friends.

I meant to get to this sooner but was sidetracked by a yucky sinus infection that was only yesterday finally diagnosed so that I could start the right medication. What a difference today!
Day 14 I sewed stars and patches on my son's Taekwondo uniform. It means so much to him and I am very slow so it took me an hour and a half!
Day 15 Gave my husband and daughter backrubs even though I felt miserable with this infection.
Day 16 My husband gave to me. I stayed…
