R 7 Day 4-8 Monday - Friday
R7 day 4 Monday
Today morning we got up late and cooked fast and sent the children to school. I taught Ramu for some time and then let him get ready for school. Went to pick them up after cooking and doing my exercise, washed the clothes and dried them out. At the music class I took a keychain and some chocolates and packed them and passed it to Ramu to give to his teacher. She was very happy to receive it from Ramu. Today the crows were crowing so I put some biscuits…

Day 10 through 11
September 29, 2011
Day10
If today was Thursday it was Taxi day. I made my appointed rounds. Thursday is always an easier day since Tom can stay at the University with Kathy. I don’t have to find a place to park. Parking can be tricking on some days. I was finished with taxi duty early. I picked up Paul between classes and let him have the car for the rest of the day.
After Paul left to go back to school I took a nap. This was my self care give. I slept…

Today .... I had pumpkin day with the kids, gave out two birthday presents (two kids celebrating birthdays tomorrow), worked late, then stuck up for myself and told these clients I couldn't keep working late for them (this is hard for me to do, but I needed to give myself this), drove a teenage girl to the homecoming dance, and spent some quality time with my little cousins playing a game called "Two Truths, One Lie"
Two Truths, One Lie is a game that's great as a getting to…

I went back to the big city again today for an appointment. As much as I looked forward to the appointment, I didn't feel like traveling or dealing with 'city' energy, and even as I got dressed, I considered cancelling. I tried to shift my focus to what I was grateful for, and that worked, um, intermittently. When I got to the city, I went to a machine to buy a transit day pass. A small man in a hooded coat said, "I'm trying to..." and I didn't really listen to the end of his sentence.…

Round 7, Day 4: A little change and a potluck
Our Division potluck was this evening, and as I stopped at the grocery store for fixings for the tortelini salad I wanted to take, I emptied the change out of my wallet and dropped it in the charity coin collection box by the checkout counter. I made the salad and went off to the potluck for some sharing of food and company.

Winning in the Amazon
I believe the September Cause was Earth based, but I can't find it anywhere on the site. In any case, on this last day of September, I find it very inspirational that people can come together for a cause and win!

R2 Day 23
Let a cute little old gal go in front of me in line at the drug store. She was carrying 4 bottles of champagne and I was afraid she was going to drop one or more. She said they were on sale, she must really like champagne! Finally got all of the donations from my team mates and was able to go to make a donation for our co-worker with breast cancer at "The Pink Ribbon Place", a non-profit in my area that arranges for free mammograms (and many other services) for low income women. I framed…

Day 10: Silly Games
Today my gift was to my little sister. I gave her money to play a game at the movies. She was really excited that I did that for her.
Well, tomorrow are the big tests! I decided to take tonight off from studying. Last minute studying won't do much anymore, will it?
Sweet dreams everybody. Have a wonderful weekend!!
I'm going to Homecoming for the first time in my life tomorrow, details on that to come!!!

She didn't answer I left a voice mail.
Well I did some giving during the day. But was slapped up side the head when my phone rang.
It was my friends husband,,, Lisa is in the hospital in special care. She isn't expected to come home
She has had cancer for last 4-5 years. I feel like crap . I haven't seen her since end of August.

I love to go apple picking. It is so fun pulling Jack in the little red wagon, while he watches me climb trees for the best apples. We have been twice in the past two weeks and each time we have come home with a bushel of apples. A bushel is a TON of apples. I have been eating five a day, and I still have a lot left. With gift giving on my mind, I was inspired to use the apples to make my gift for day 3.
Our plans for today included a visit with MeMe (my young fashionista stepmother…

Pass it On ~ Round 3 /Day 16
I am a huge Tom Waits fan, so I purchased this chapbook he was selling to raise money for his local food bank in Sebastopol, CA. It ended up costing over $30.00, and the poem inside was quite a bummer. Much as I love Tom, and was glad I could help out, I have decided to pass this on to a friend of mine who is an…

Day 1
Day one was filled with giving!! And none of it was material gifts. Today I gave smiles, many many compliments to family, friends and strangers. I gave thanks, which i do everday (a gift to myself and the universe) & I comforted a family member in her time of sadness, I gave the gift of wholesome organic food to myself and my children. I didn't purposely set out to give these things or even consciously think of any of them as gifts. So much so, that at the start of the day and at…

It's The Little Things That Count
Day 2 - and I am stumped already!. I've never had a problem with giving before. Up to now, I've given away just about everything I can give away. Giving is in my nature. I can't seem to stop...and I've never had to think about it before. It's always just been a spontaneous thing with me.
Now, here I am, on this wonderful 29-Day Giving Challenge...and I am stumped. Oh, I could go on and on, writing pages of anecdotes where I have given away this, and spent time doing that for my…

Day 1 here in Longview, and I am kicking off this 29 Day Challenge by sharing this site via my FB page. I am surrounded by HUGE giving spirits and I know some of my friends would enjoy this as well as Cami's story and FB just seems to be the best way to blast it to EVERYONE! :) So far, this "somewhat sunny" morning, I dropped a bag of small toys off at my grandma's for her church to box and wrap and ship off in time for Christmas in another country. AND, a book was delivered to my work…

Tapping Away Pain - EFT
I'm seeing that several members of this wonderful challenge live with pain. I've been a Registered Massage Therapist, Aromatherapist, and many other kinds of therapist for 30 years and have gone through a period of time living in intense debilitating pain so I'm very empathetic to others in this situation. You may or may not know about EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) but it is a very powerful technique for both physical and emotional pain. I'm sending along a video of the experience of 5…

It has been a while since I blogged but I have given. I decided that I am not pressuring myself for either. Personally for me it has to be a give rather than a "giv-ult" giving out of guilt! My new word!!! Hahahaha! Yesterday after services with my amazing daughter she and I went out to lunch with a coupon and we were not able to use it so we gave it to a table of nice ladies! For me it was a double good whammy! I was able to give and my daughter was able to see me do it (words only mean so…
