Today I was asked to change my entire work day around and help out with a promotion at work which up till that point was not part of my job. I ended up helping the whole day and enjoying it, even though it was challenging. At the end of the day I was asked to help on Friday too and given the role of promotions project manager for all our up coming promotions. So I must have done soomething right. It's funny to think how easily I cold have said no.

Today I bought some fruit for the lady I often see begging on the side if the road.



I also stopped to chat to another lady who sells the big issue magazine - www.bigissue.org.za - even though I wasn't sure I had enough money to buy one. Turns out I did, but she was so lovely to chat to and her smile and positive attitude (even before she knew I would buy one) really made me rethink the "bad day" I was having.
