A traveler was searching for this very wise man he heard about.  After miles and miles of hiking, he arrived at this mountain top where his house was.  He was warmly welcomed in by the wise sir.  The traveler looked around the house, saw only a place to sleep on and 2 or three more objects, surprised he asked "But where are all your belongings?",   "Where are yours?" I had to go to the bookshop this morning, so I could not help myself but to get something for the August cause!  I bought a bunch of pencils.  But I don't want to just give them away.  I´d like to put some message on it, as "inspire", "believe", "love"....but how?  I did not see anything on the web about writing on a pencil.  I'll come up with something.  Gave a generous tip to the waiter.  I'm beginning to do this as a habit.  Before I evaluated service, now, I simply give more than…

I made another card today and walked to a rehab center close to my house.  It was closed, so I walked to a transplant center next to it, but of course no hospitalized kids there... Today I called a family member who I have never seen, but my dad told me she is doing bad with her Diabetes.  I gave her tips on her caring and adviced her to see a dietitian.  She went ahead and told me that she was aware that her glucose got out of control with stress, so I suggested her to find that which she loves -painting, writing, singing...- so her spirit finds a way to express itself and she will be in a better balance and more at peace…

Wow, I must really like this, because I tend to be very jumpy and it is the eve of the last day of the Challenge and I have stood firm on it everyday.  This makes me proud and happy.  But I'd love to get better at it.

Biscuits.  That is what I got for the workers today.  Time and comfort.  I what I gave both my parents today.  Even though I was very tired from a long hard day of work, I did the dishes for my momma, took her to the market (twice) and took pops to the dentist for his treatment.  Also I try to do eeeverything I do with love.  Everyone I talk to, talk to from my heart, considering the fact that no matter what they are doing and how much I don´t like it, they deserve the same respect than…

Today, Sunday, was a pretty much stay home day.  Nonetheless, I found myself a gift to give.  I have a very dear friend who lives now in another province and has a beautiful little girl.  So I came across this website which has short stories for kids with a moral value.  I sent the family a sweet email with the link for them to read to her.  Good stories for kids can never ever be overestimated.  Specially when transmitted through their own parents.  God bless all…

The carpenter told me the job was ready -a week late!-.  On my way to pick up the piece I decided that I would round up the price to give him a generous tip, even though it took him twice the time he promised.  But this would be my giving of the day. 

To my surprise, he did an extra job on the piece, to make it look more finished and nicer (something I really wanted to order, but since I can't afford it at the moment, I didn't), gave me the piece of wood leftover from the work turned…

Day 23:  Dear Blog, today I bought lunch for the workers at my house.  They wanted hot dogs, so I bought the best hot dogs, best buns, best mustard and ketchup, best drink and some chocolate for dessert.  I had lunch with them, they shared some of their beautiful family videos with me and since it is the last time I will see some of them, I asked them to please feel free to contact me if their kids ever need any help with school or their diets.

Today, again, I gave gifts to the kids of the workers.  Another one of the workers.  He has a 5 and an 8 year old kid.  I have him 2 teddy bears from my childhood. 

Well, today I made a last minute gift!  I read Alena´s poem on seizing the day and I took the last stanza, which I loved and posted it on my social network site, dedicated to my friends.  Also I posted some pictures from my last trip that a lot of friends have been asking to see, and I am pretty lazy to post pictures at all, so today I finally made the effort! 

Oh my!!  Day 20!  This is coming to an end too soon!  I feel I need to be more into it... Today I gave a dear friend of mine some of the best tips I could give on finding love.  She also has been on her own for a long time now and it is not good for her.  She really feels it.  So I thought about the things I work on when I want to meet someone special and shared them with her.  I planned her day for tomorrow, based on this idea and I also told her to take notes on my tips and internalize…

Again, I tutor my mother on making her page on a social network.  Also I am secretly looking for a singing teacher for a dear friend of mine who has been dying for years to begin singing, but keeps on running around the tree with the deal!

My mom was very excited about being on a social network.  So I guided her to open up her own page.
