I have not been posting daily like I should be doing, however, I continue to give and do RAK's. 

My boss is overworked in her job and her life in general.  She received strict orders from her dr. at her annual she must take time for herself.  So, I booked her a pedicure and treated.  Booked her a massage and scheduled for her to meet a friend she hasn't seen in awhile for a bite to eat.  It was a busy and exhausting day for myself, but the rewards were plenty.  She was very…

I have decided to continue my gift giving endlessly.  I can't believe how it has been a life changing experience for me (and my family has benefited as well).  I finished up my first round while on vacation, however, I didn't have computer access.  I have and still am having internet issues since we arrived back home.

It was another busy day at work.  I was trying to assist a constituent who had already been "through" 3 other staffers.  She was just a miserable person and very argumentative.  I ended up accidentally getting disconnected (hung up) from her.  I figured it would give her some time to cool down and me some time to run things by the boss. You know, I am ashamed to say I am not sure if I gifted anything today.  There was nothing that I really went out of my way to do/gift.

The only thing I really could consider would be tell an elderly neighbor's daughter about an RX program she may be eligible for and asking another neighbor's daughter how she was doing.  She just got home from the hospital.  Offered our services for anything.

Spent the good part of the day "working" a fundraiser for my son's BB Gun Riflemen team.  Thank goodness it was a beautiful day, because the fundraiser itself was very disappointing. 

Spent the entire evening w/mil.  Family took her to dinner.  Her first "outing" since her heart attack & bypass surgery.  Hubby did the laundry, while son and I did her grocery shopping.

Boy, there really isn't enough time in a day.

Yesterday, I wasn't sure what my gift was going to be, nor did I have anything that was really "moving" me.  I had an appt. w/ tax people (they messed up on my taxes) & eye dr. appt.  Got in to work late & it was crazy.  I had to leave on time due to a scheduled hair appt.  I offered to get dinner for my boss before I left for the day.  She didn't/wasn't ready for dinner.  So I offered to call before I went home to see if they were still working to get her dinner.  I "waited it out a…

Yesterday started off as a rough day for me.  Just a bit emotional and not sure why.  Thinking it is just all that is on my plate right not.  I still don't feel as though I am fully recovered/bounced back from my surgery in February.  It is a crazy time of year at work.  Just feeling overwhelmed.

We had two girls in to "shadow" my boss.  I tended to them when they weren't with my boss.  Took them where they needed to be, got them their lunch, gave them a "special side tour" of the Capitol to rooms I think are absolutely beautiful and are not included on the official tour.  They were so excited and appreciative.  My boss introduced each of us to them and our rolls we play.  When she spoke of me.....she said, well, Diane is like my best friend.  She takes care of me all the time and…

Today was the best one yet for receiving. Did stuff for the mil again. Ran to get lunch for a co-worker before the cafe' closed. Called all over Harrisburg looking for Crocs for my boss's grandchildren. Talked to a stranger at Turkey Hill recovering from double knee surgery. Gave a friend some soup I made yesterday.

Received - Came in to work to a "surprise" on my desk. A bag from Bath & Body Works. Cucumber/Melon. It was from my boss. She got a little something for all of us. :)…

Whew.  Busy day today.  Started the day early.  Prepped food for "father's day dinner" for the hubby.  He usually does 95% of the cooking.  So I wanted to make it an extra special day for him.

Had a visit w/my dad (parents).  Ran to the grocery afterwards.  Saw a nice young man w/grandmother and admired what a nice relationship they had w/each other.  On my way out I bought some instant lottery tickets.  The grandmother and grandson were leaving at the same time.  I asked if…

I think my posts are a day off.  But I haven't missed a day of gifting since I started this challenge.  The gifts I am receiving are getting better and easier to accept.

I surprised my hubby and scheduled/took his vehicle for inspection & OLF.  I spent my Saturday morning sitting in a dealership garage.

One of my friends mother passed last fall and she is still grieving, especially around holidays.  I hadn't realized it was one of those days.  I don't normally go out to lunch, but decided I was due.  Asked her to go to lunch.  Unknowingly I cheered her up.  She always loves hearing stories about my Matthew.

Day 12/Gift 12 - My boss had a reception honoring a former Congressman.  In order to keep the cost down (save the tax payers money, too) I ran and picked up all the food & set it up.  She was so please.  It was nothing real special, but she and the honoree were tickled with everything.

Day 10/Gift 10 - It was a totally crazy day at work.  I wanted to surprised a new co-worker with a cake for her 30th birthday.  Ran after work to purchase the cake and some other things at Costco.  Today was her birthday.  She was very surprised.  It meant a lot to her.  I invited her other friends to celebrate with us.  Really had to force myself to be "up" today.  Crazy day and continue to tiff with the hubby.  The m-i-l cause great contention between us at times.

Saturday I just wasn't feeling it. Had a small tiff with the hubby. 

Cleaned my son' room.  No, I mean cleaned it.  That was my gift to him (and myself).  Bought the hubby two cigars as a treat this evening.

Sunday - we had a team fundraiser car wash.  It was hotter than ever today.  Bought a Gatorade for the coach.  Spent late afternoon/evening with some old friends & met some new ones.  My friends mother was killed earlier this year by a hit and run driver…

Not sure I gave anything special today.  I lent a listening ear to my boss regarding an incident w/her twin grandsons that could have ended up very badly.  Tried to "talk her down".

I rearranged my day and dropped my son off at the m-i-l's to cut her grass, did all of her banking and mail again today.

I retrieved all the m-i-l's mail and paid her bill...etc. She had open heart surgery today.  Thank you for the prayers.

I tagged along with a friend/co-worker to another co-workers home who is recovering from hip surgery and her mom was recently diagnosed with more cancer.  They were both excited to see us.

I paid for the person behind me in line at McDonald's.  I saw that they were from out of state.  Thought it would be an even nicer thing that they would now…

Day 4/Gift 4 - I was the "go between" for my brother-in-law (doesn't live local), my husband for my mother-in-law.  Given everyone updates throughout the day on her status. (This is not an easy task for me.  The relationship between my m-i-l and I is strained.  She doesn't like me because I "took her son from her".  It is a very TRYING relationship for me.  And God knows, I try every day.

I am already starting a trend of posting my "gifts" a day late.  Over the weekend, I had purchased a couple small picture frames.  I framed the saying "Every Day Is a Gift" and wrapped in cheery yellow tissue paper.  I carried around with me everywhere searching for just the right person (friend or stranger).
