I have had a weird week. A couple of days I didn't give a gift so, I have decided that I'm going to reread the book and start over. I figured that it wouldn't hurt. Day 7- The Gift of Patience.
Today I decided to give the gift of patience to my family. After the week with the great-grandparents, my kids have decided to NOT be on their best behavior and they have been snarky to each other and to me and my husband. During the visit the kids were as good as gold, even when we had a minor scare when my son was stepped on by a horse. (He's ok by the way, his foot is just bruised.) When Jason's family came in, we became extremely busy. We were blessed with being able to spend time with them at a beautiful cabin with it's own private lake. We spent almost a week with them. We were also given another gift. My husband's grandmother wants to fly all of us out to California next summer and take us to Disneyland!!!! We're all very excited! Today I decided I was going to start the challenge today. The first gift I'm giving is forgiveness. I have a hard time with holding small grudges against my husband. I often get angry went he does something I find selfish. Today I was mindful of how I was feeling and decided to let the incident go. I mindfully told myself that I was giving the gift of forgiveness. It felt good and I felt lighter than I have in a few weeks.
