29-Day Giving Challenge

I don't know why but I thought starting off with gifts to soldiers in Iraq would be nice! I searched a bit online and found a website called www.anysoldier.com. On this website you can read countless posts of what different groups need/want. I found a group of woman in Iraq, in the Army that wanted girlie things like hair products, lotions, and loofahs etc. Oh and the best..they wanted nail polish and other things to do manis and pedis (gotta love women who shoot guns and still want to look gorgeous)! I ran through the house and surprisingly found two entire bags of brand new girlie things that I have never used! Strange how on day one of gift giving I am going to make some amazing women happy while de-cluttering my house!!!

This is an awesome idea! Our military men and women were the inspiration behind me joining this movement and giving something back. I am so excited that you shared this website, I'm definitely going to contribute something. Thanks again!

Congrats on Day 1! I've recently read quite a bit about KIVA, so I'm looking forward to that being one of my "giftings" in the next 27 days (I'm 2 days in).

So...today is Day 1. I decided to give a favorite something, a nonfat venti, to my least favorite somebody, a former frenemy. We loved our coffee...it was a ritual throughout our friendship. As I dropped the anonymous gift card in the mail box I i...

It was really nice of you to think of your sick co-worker, and to remember how you felt in the same situation. Have fun at the hockey game!

Today is a great day for giving! Through KIVA I just gave a loan to a woman in Peru. She will invest this money in her fish selling business and hopefully, slowly but surely, better her situation. I am convinced these micro-loans are very empoweri...
