well, I've been a member since May 13 and have really only given in an intentional way on the first day. Today, I intended to buy flowers for someone, but I didn't. Now, I am going to count the things I have not intentionally given.
I gave a client an extra long session today at no extra charge. I unloaded the dishwasher. I fed my dog and took him to work with me today. I sent a client a very appreciative e-mail congratulating her on her success. I moved some boxes so my partner wouldn't have to do it. It is good practice to think about all the ways I am giving all the time. I also notice my brain's habitual tendency to tell me that it does not count or it is not enough. I am not listening to that voice. I am going to start again tomorrow. The lesson? It takes focus and intention to begin a new habit.
