day 3 (I started over)

Today I paid the person who cleans our house an extra $25 dollars. We are doing a construction project and there was dust everywhere! What a difference it makes to have the house clean, even if it doesn't last long.
A major way I am giving right now - and this is ongoing into the indefinite future - is that my partner Tom and I have invited his elderly father to live with us. We are remodeling our back porch into an additional bedroom and bathroom just for him. Of course, we benefit too, because we get to add these spaces to our home. And, we get to be involved in the project, which is very exciting because we have designed an awesomely beautiful bathroom. The bedroom will be almost all windows looking out into the leaves of elm and oak trees and a tiny creek. And, we get to live with Van (Tom's dad). He is extremely sweet. He plays the guitar and sings folk songs from the 60's. He loves my dog Jerry and gives him lots of attention.
Today I gave Jerry raw hamburger for dinner (yum!)
I have decided to post photos of the construction project. By my 29th day, I hope it is done!
