29-Day Giving Challenge

Today I took part in the Kindness Rock Big Give. I gave three rocks. I handed two to two little girls who had to be sisters. They were standing outside of a boutique on Melrose with their dad. Both gave me a kind smile and a polite thank you when I handed them to them. I left the third rock sitting on a seat at a bus stop. When I walked by later, I saw a man pick it up, examine it closely and then chuck it out into the street. I had to laugh. Hopefully someone will find it while they're crossing Melrose and take it as some kind of sign. I also gave my left over brunch and a loaf of freshly baked bread to a guy I saw dumpster diving near my house. I didn't bake the bread myself. I'm really not that skilled in the kitchen. I got it from the bakery. They were giving away some of the extra loafs they had before they closed.

Today I decided I would surprise my son when he got home from school with a fresh tray of rice krispie treats instead of the store bought ones. He told me that I was the best mom, and he is 17 so that is a treat for me.
