29-Day Giving Challenge

Day 25: My man and I treated my mom and my niece to a movie, "The Soloist". It was a very good movie. I really enjoyed the ending.

My man and I spent some wonderful time together, a give to one another. He sang to me last night, one of my favorite gifts that he gives to me. I love his voice.

I gave my man another massage.

Day 26: I brought my ring to the jewelry store and paid them to clean & polish is - a give to myself.

I spent some extra time with a family after our meeting was done because they were really "going at it". It was supposed to just be a treatment planning meeting with their case manager, but I didn't want them to leave the way they were, so I talked to them until they seemed to be in a better place.

I texted my niece to let her know I was thinking about her.

I called my father tonight to check in on him. I was exhausted so I was debating it, but I wanted to know how he was doing. We had a great conversation. He told me that I have a very good head on my shoulders, that I really seem to be doing well, and that he is very proud of me and who I have become (a give to me). I let him know that I couldn't have become such a great person without such wonderful examples growing up. I let him know how thankful I am for him and how proud I am that he is my father. I'm glad I called him - I felt better after talking to him.

I did a load of whites for my man.

Three more days left. I know I'll be heading into another round pretty soon. This is the best challenge I've ever been in :)!

The best challenge you've been in; huh? Me too, I guess. It's not really challenging; is it?

Great that you decided to call your dad ... when debating something thinking "should I or shouldn't I" it's often good to do it, rather than regret not doing it .... sounds like you're glad you made the call ..... he really did give to you and you returned the give

It's wonderful to read how you and your dad wre able to share your appreciation of each other. Sadly, I just never managed to put that kind of thing into words with my parents. I relied on them to just know it. I'm so glad for you.

The movie was a great give to your mom and niece. Sounds like a wonderful evening with your man. Letting your niece know you were thinking of her, great give. I think calls to the parents are the best gives. Glad you took time to call your dad. You are really good to your man, time, massages, and whites sparkling clean.
