29-Day Giving Challenge

A cup of tea and a position on the board (sat)

I travelled to London for a day of mosaic fun at the V&A / meeting. the mosaic group I belong to was asking for a treasurer , so I volunteered for the position....I'm not the best with figures, but want to learn, but my mum is and i know with her help I can overcome any problems!

As I was walking back to the coach station it started to rain. I decided to get a cup of tea for the very long journey and there was a homeless guy selling the Big issue. I decided not to buy a copy, but ask the guy if he wanted a cup of tea or coffee, as he's a human too, getting wet and cold.

I went into Starbucks and ordered - I decided a big cup would be better for the guy to keep him warm. Starbucks was so full of people sheltering from the rain, and they stared at me - hopefully some of them will think and maybe buy a cup of tea for someone in the future.

I am thank full to my mum for dropping me at the station very early on and collecting me and dinner!!

I am so thank full for meeting and being inspired by fellow mosaic artists today.

I am thank full for someone thanking me for helping them  during the summer - her sugar levels dropped dramaically and sat with her and made her drink a sugary cup of tea to bring her insulin back into the levels (she is diabetic) and just kept her talking until she made sense again. I'm glad she's doing so well now and I knew what to do.

Your kindnesses  you have shown are wonderful, the fact that you helped the lady with diabetes was awesome. My son is type 1, and I know what can happen if the sugar goes too low or too high. I'll bet the mosaics are beautiful! I hope you have a  great week ahead:)
