when my Hubby and i moved into our travel trailer, we got rid of a lot of our worldly possessions in a yard sale. at that time he suggested that we sell our guitar but i balked...i thought with us having more free time, i'd play it more. it didn't work out that way though and that guitar has spent the better part of the last five years stashed in the storage space under our bed. a couple of weeks ago i decided it was time to give it to someone who would get some real enjoyment out of it. so i listed it on FreeCycle, the first time i've ever listed anything there.
yesterday while i was at work my phone rang and it was a woman calling about the guitar. she told me her name and it turned out it was someone i knew well - the friend whose guest house my Dad and stepmom stayed in when they were visiting back in February! i thought that was hilarious :-) anyway, she wanted it for her 12 year old son who is just getting interested in learning acoustic guitar. so, i brought it to work with me today and she came to the store and i gave it to her. mission accomplished!

Comment by Valerie (wwt) on October 23, 2012 at 9:22pm It's hard to let go of certain things ... I always fall into the thought of "some day I'll use this." I'm sure the boy will love having it.
