Hi, everyone! I miss checking in and saying hi, but life has gotten away from us. Our big news is that we pulled our daughter out of public school on Feb. 29 and have started to homeschool. I'm trying to blog daily about THAT journey (www.ourschoolathome.com) - but in the meantime, the gift I've been giving ever day is just trying to help my daughter build her confidence and realize what a wonderful and talented person she is.
But, one thing I did want to report on, which felt great. As part of starting to homeschool, we joined a bunch of Facebook groups and email lists. On one, a woman was saying that she'd been saving for months and bought a half a cow from a local farmer to stock her freezer for the next six months or so... and her freezer broke and it was all spoiled. I couldn't believe it. So I sent her $75 via Paypal towards replacing it. I know it's not much, but I hope it will help!
It felt great to know that I was helping a total stranger - I'd never even so much as corresponded with her - and I don't know why, but it was really uplifting.
Blessings to all of you. I miss everyone and will try to check in when I can!
