A Week of Gifts
Day 11 - $10.00 in the offering bag
Day 12 - A HELLO! card to my youngest daughter who's away at college and an extra surprise "just because" $20.00
Day 13 - Didn't give a gift today 8<( Wasn't paying attention to an opportunity to give the gift of "time" to my husband
I prayed to the Lord to be the center of my Christmas time gift giving again this year. I am excited to see how He leads me.
Day 14 - A Gerber multi-tool for my husband. Two weeks ago, he was scrounging around the house looking for my old mini leatherman tool that I got years ago as a workplace safety award. My husband is currently working in a remote area and it would be a helpful tool to carry with him. He didn't find it. The Lord reminded me it would be a great gift. I asked some advise from a hunter type coworker before I left work, then I headed to the Big R-Home and Ranch store afterwork. As I stood staring at the glassed display case filled with knives and tools - totally out of my element, my coworker unexpectedly showed up and helped me make the perfect selection. There is no coincidence with God!
Day 15 - Candlewarmer lamp for my daughter. Should I or shouldn't I. A bit of a deliema. My husband and I already agreed to purchase my daughter and her husband a joint gift. My husband took care of making that purchase. BUT I had wanted to get this for her last year. My mother-in-law gave me one for my birthday last year... it is wonderful! So... I prayed! The Lord knew in my heart I wanted to have a little "santa" gift for each one. My girl is a getting the Candlewarmer lamp! Thank you Lord!!!!
