DAY 1
Today I gave by donating $5 to a 10-year-old girl who has brain damage from a buildup of too much bilirubin (causes jaundice) when she was an infant. It's called Kernicterus and it means she's stuck in a body that she has almost no control over. Her sisters are raising funds for her to get surgies that will help her be more independent.
Being that I have my own very expensive medical bills and so could not donate much, I also donate my time, energy and personal cyber-space by creating what I hope is an attention-getting post and sharing it all over Facebook, and asking others to share it as well. I'm hoping that will help generate more donations. I'm also sharing it here! In case any of you would like to give to her as well.
Her name is Lexi and she is beautiful, with a vibrant spirit. You can cyber-meet her and/or donate here:

Even if you only have $1 to give, give that. Don't ever think you don't have enough. Take it from me, as someone who has raised funds for health issues, every tiny bit helps!
DAY 2
Today I gave by giving my friends compliments. I just thought of as many friends as I could and sent them messages telling them why I think they are awesome.
THOUGHTS
Today has been a very difficult and painful day healthwise. I wasn't sure I was going to be able to figure out how to give before it got to be tomorrow! But I did, and in spite of the excrutiating pain, it makes me feel so happy. I think you'll all be interested to know that the effect of my giving journey is bleeding into my partner, who has all of a sudden started giving to people and it is bringing her A LOT of joy. It's really cute actually. She doesn't naturally tend toward joy, so it's really sweet to see her go through this. Her joy is like the joy of a child. Giving sure is a powerful thing. ;-)
