Well it goes to show that whatever you do consistently becomes a habit, after 29 days of updating my blog...I am already missing it and thought it was time for an update!
Firstly - today I received a phone call and I have been successful in gaining the before/after school care position at the school I went to the interview for! I am so thankful and really excited, this will be a great learning/career opportunity for me.
The most meaningful gift however was from my husband Kristen. When I announced that I had finished my 29 day challenge, he logged online to read my blog. He was really touched and has commenced his own 29 giving challenge. Yesterday he said to me "isn't it amazing that when you make the decision to give so many opportunities just present themselves!" I couldn't agree more, this is exactly what happened for me too.
Over this week my gift has been looking for opportunities to build the student's confidence and self-esteem. I have been working with a small focus group of children working on improving their basic maths skills. The way their eyes light up when the figure something out has just been wonderful.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful week xx

Congratulations -- or really I should congratulate the school for recongizing the jewel they are getting when they hired you! All the kids that you come in contact with will benefit from your caring ways. That is really great that Kristen has started his own challenge -- I hope he will share his journey with us here. The best of luck to you in all your new endeavors. You are going to be a terrific teacher.
WooHooo! Fabulous, Michelle!
And it is a wonderful "habit" to read your posts, they are always a delight! I am so happy for you, Michelle! Congratulations! And awesome that Kristen is doing his own challenge...giving is contagious!
