yesterday i realized that my youngest granddaughter's birthday was coming up very soon and i needed to get her presents and mail them pronto. i called to ask her what she wanted and she told me "monster" something or other. i was having a really hard time understanding her LOL. it was actually pretty funny, i was on the phone with her while i was walking up and down the aisles at Walmart scanning the shelves and playing 20 questions. i finally determined that she was talking about Monster High dolls, which are a Barbie type doll only with a zombie theme. okay. so, i got her one of those and also a Monster High outfit for her to wear. i got them all wrapped up and ready to send.
apparently forgetting birthdays til the last minute is this week's theme because when i woke up this morning i remembered that today was my stepdad's 79th birthday. he lives in Chicago. (i never forget anyone's birthday that live locally. of course.) so i went and got a belated birthday card and mailed that off. while i was at the Post Office, i mailed off a book that someone had requested that i had listed to give away on www.bookmooch.com
