Yesterday I was very lucky to listen to a short talk given by Dr. Margaret Chesney from the UCSF Osher Center for Integrative Medicine. Her talk was on "How to Outsmart Stress".
In a nutshell, she offered the simple acronym "BREATHE" as a practical way to find happiness and balance in our lives. I'd like to share what I've heard with the 29 Gifts community.
BREATHE
Be in the moment
Realist -- set realistic goals
Each day -- notice positives
Acts of kindness for others
Turn negatives around -- find the silver lining
Honor your strengths
End the day with gratitude
