29-Day Giving Challenge

Day 6 (Friday):

Helped a friend earn a 4 day vacation at a resort for her & a friend of hers, who I have not met, who has bladder cancer & will be having her bladder removed in the next couple weeks.  We went to the resort, up in the mountains, a lovely place, 3 hours of tour/ pitch, & we walked out with the mini vacation she is going to treat her friend to, after her surgery.  A feel good.

Day 7 (Saturday):

Today I gifted myself with turning off phones, computer, a technology-free day.  Was a bit tired & healing, restoring myself, after being in high altitude on Friday & the long day traveling.  Too tired to cook; called & ordered delivery for dinner.  So grateful for food delivery, warm & tasty, to one's front door, when needed.  For me, living on my own, this has meant a huge difference.    A peaceful, restorative day which I needed.

Day 8 (Sunday):

I woke up this morning, offering to God to be of service, wherever I might serve best.  I received two calls from friends in dire need.  The first calmed down, felt heard, felt safe again.  The second was uplifting, transformational.  She shifted from the problems & negative meanings on events, to opening to, seeing the good, in what was happening.  Felt good to offer a listening heart, to see each feel better.  Felt good knowing that there is someone there for us when we need it, especially when one reaches out & asks.
