Daay 2...kindness
I arrived in San Francisco and my friend picked me up at the airport. I was very hungry, as I had not gotten anything to eat on the airplane. When did airlines get this cheap here in America? I have been overseas the past year and flights there still take care of the passengers. ANYWAY, after an amazing breakfast at a place call JoAnn's, we paid to leave. As we were leaving, an older woman (very sweet looking and reminded me of a grandma I know) was coming in. I quicky opened the door, told her to please go ahead, and proceeded to tell her to have a beautiful day. She smiled, as if people my age no longer have manners like this, and told me to have the same. Part of me felt that this wasn't really a gift, as it is something I would do normally. But, I am trying to remember that it is about what I am giving to someone else..not what I think is from me per say.
