29-Day Giving Challenge

I was excited to begin today:)  I immediately started trying to think of ideas, then realized that I should just "let it happen" and give from my heart.  At breakfast with my friends Tami and Debbie, I remembered a bottle of wine Debbie had given me for a gift that my husband Randy and my sister in law Betty had just loved.  The wine was from Tennessee and couldn't be purchased around here.  I bought 2 bottles from Debbie and delivered one to Betty (Happy New Year!) and one to Randy as a surprise. (Both were thrilled!).  I also stopped at McDonalds and surprised Randy with his favorite drink....unsweetened iced tea in a styrofoam cup.  Later, even though I wasn't working that day, I went back to work to help Randy with a project so his day could be a little easier.  I did some shopping with my oldest son Ryan, who is a starving college student and talked to him about doing the challenge too.  He worried that since he had no money that he wouldn't be able to do it, but I told him that he should just do things for others rather than buying things or giving material things.  I need to remember that too!
